Wednesday, November 5, 2003
Volume 63, Issue 18
Rota-Scribe: Bill Schenk

Diane Masseth-Jones led the club in the pledge followed by the singing of America, and Smile led by Griff Duncan, Jim Blackburn, Leroy Fulton, and Diane (accompanied by a hiccupping Don Ludwig on the piano).

Tom Meyer's thought for the day centered around the season of Thanksgiving and all the reasons Tom is thankful following the experience of his wife's heart attack last summer. He read a poignant note from his eldest daughter citing the importance of family and community caring. (Happy Thanksgiving Tom!)

Dick Jones introduced visiting Rotarians and guest, who included former member Walter Barnes (from Kauai, Hawaii); Lauralyn Eschner (from Fullerton School District); Rob Jahncke (from Robert and Beth Jahncke), Paulette Triay (wife of the original Al T) and Stephen Craig (guest of Diane Masseth-Jones)

Early in the meeting Tom Meyer claimed to be the second handsomest man in the club. Prez Bill proclaimed Don Mlodzik THE MOST HANDSOME and welcomed him back after his recent illness. (The rest of the club immediately ratified this proclamation). Frank Kawase's ranking has yet to be established but he was welcomed back after what Prez Bill described as a "hernia" transplant. (Judging from the huge smile on Frank's face, he's happy to be back, too!)
