Opening: After Bill Mathy called us to order, Jo McAulay led us in the Flag Salute. "The Grifftones" of Griff, Ray Ashcroft, Jim Blackburn, Janie Nappe, Bill Peloquin, Ron Soderquist and Howard Wood followed singing "My Country Tis of Thee" and "Smile." Bill Peloquin gave a thoughtful and comprehensive invocation.

Guests: Jim Young asked the following Rotarians to introduce their guests: J. Richey-Norm Kredit, Carl Wilkins-Dave Seiler, Bill Peloquin-Ron Soderquist, Bob Radde-Don Magargee, Rick Crane-Peter Scofield. Bill Mathy-Gary Fitzgerald, Ron Gillett, Fullerton Sunrise Rotarian, introduced Officer Stu Hamilton.

Announcements: - Jim Young will be Paul Harris at the Rotary Clubs of Laguna Niguel and Laguna Beach.

- Tickets for Rotary Foundation Drawing for large Flat Screen LCD Television at $10 each or 12 for $100-Wally Bartelt.

- Reminder - Rich Little Concert on January 31. Tickets are $50 each-Wally Bartelt.

- CSUF Guardian Scholarship Program Luncheon on November 24 from 11:45 a.m.-1:45 p.m.. Tickets are $50 each-Dick Rocke.

- Rotary sponsored outing at the Filling Station Restaurant in Anaheim for a Murder Mystery Dinner on Saturday, November 22 at 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. (Bar opens at 6:30). Tickets are $33.50 each-David Schoen.

- Senior Citizen Christmas Celebration is coming up in December. Helpers and Film needed-Alan Atwell.

Question of the week: Tony Amato was asked two simple questions that were not so simple. What animal was the Canary Islands name after, and what animal was used in making a camel hair brush? Answers respectively are dog (Bill Mathy thinks dog for canine) and Squirrel. Tony got the consolation prize.

Birthdays and Anniversaries: Art Levine levied birthday fines for Bob Jahncke and Don Ludwig's wife, JoAnn. Anniversary fines went to Bill Kincaid and wife Shirley, and Pat Geary and wife Frankie Sue.
