Terry Kitchel from CSUF introduced CSUF's Athletic Director, Bryan Quinn, as our speaker. Bryan has been in education for 34 years. He is recognized as a master fund raiser as well as a very successful athlete, coach, and athletic director. Bryan said CSUF was in good shape when he arrived. He is very impressed with the staff and school. The gym has been redone with a new floor and new seating. Most of the sports programs are very successful except for the basketball program. Two of his goals for the basketball program are to graduate a high percent of the student players and get better players who possess integrity. Quinn has zero tolerance when it comes to cheating. He wants his players to be good students, ethical, and winners. He says that CSUF will win and win in the right way. Character counts! Coaches must buy into ethics. He recounted how the baseball players work with special needs children in such a remarkable way.
President Mike closed the meeting with these words of wisdom: Never miss a chance to shut up. There are two theories on arguing with women - neither one works!
