Back Stretch and Finish Line

President Mike introduced ADG Lane Calvert, who provided the program concerning Exploring, the senior co-educational program of the Boys Scouts of America.

The major focus of Exploring (ages 14-21) is career exploration and community service.  Explorer Posts are directed towards various career choices, e.g. law enforcement, fire suppression, mortuary, flying, etc.  Peace Corps Director and former OC Supervisor and gubernatorial appointments secretary, Gaddi Vasquez was one of the first OC Explorers in Law enforcement.

Outstanding testimonials to the values of Exploring were provided by members of local Explorer posts specializing in law enforcement and fire science.  Each student seemed well pleased and justifiably proud of his Exploring affiliation and experiences

Proposed Members: Art Levine (returning Rotarian) by Bill Mathy, and Dale Hardner by Tom Meyer
