Allyn has worked in many publicly held companies in portfolio management. He was recruited into many positions and is a qualified consultant. Currently he is an Asset Manager with Union Development Company. He manages a diverse portfolio of real estate properties. He oversees staff, marketing, timing of sales and purchasing. He works in property development and long range planning.
If you didn't already know it, Winston Miller was born and raised in Jamaica. He grew up in the St. Anne's area, which is near Dunnns River Falls, a must-see according to Winston. He then proceeded to dispel any misconceptions we might have of persons from Jamaica. Ironically, all 4 of Winston's siblings live in California now. After he finished high school, he went to work for Barclays Bank and was set to go to teachers college, but found he really enjoyed banking. He majored in banking/finance and was transferred to Kingston where he met his wife. They have 2 children. Not really motivated to leave Jamaica, Winston was sure he'd never leave. He came to California to be closer to his family in 1978 with the plan that they would only stay 5 years.Well, that was 24 years ago. He's worked for CitiNational Bank as Regional Senior Vice President and Merrill Lynch. Currently, he works for Morgan Stanley where he creates investment solutions for individuals, businesses and foundations. He believes in a diversified investment strategy but is not a stock-picker. He finished with a great quote from Warren Buffet, Risk is not knowing what you are doing.
