Board of Directors Meeting Minutes for Meeting of May 13, 2003

April Minutes were approved.

 

New Members approved:

                        Lonnie Blake, Ken Barry, Jay Richey

 

Overall Membership gain for 2002-2003 is 7 members for a total of 141 members

 

Treasurer's Report:

 

                        Frank Kawase reported $419.00 in Money Market, and $32,632.00 in checking account.

 

Lane Calvert - Asst. District Governor said, "Thank you for a good year".

-District Governor demotion brunch is 06/29/03 at Phoenix Club. Tell Mike Oates if you want to go.

 

-Hydraflow plant tour is 05/14/03 with Fullerton Chamber.

 

-Mike Oates is doing paperwork to apply for District 5320 Matching Grant ($1500. MAX) for Dental

 Clinic chaired by Minard Duncan.  Due in to District by Mid-July.

 

-RI Zone Golf Event 09/18/03, Create foursome, go to course of your choice, announcement to be

 made at upcoming weekly meeting.

 

Director's Reports

 

Club Service - Fellowship:         T. Grassi: No Report

 

Community Service:                     No Report

Club Service - Membership:       B. Savage:141 Members  63.21% Attendance for April.

 

Community Service - Youth:      06/06/03, Junior High, High Schools @ Plummer.

 

International Service:                    Electrical work completed at orphanage in Mexico-Septic tank/

                                                            Water system next phase.

 

Vocational Service:                       C.Fraschetti: 05/07/03 Elementary Awards given.

                                                                 05/14/03 High School & Fullerton College recognition.

 

Polio Plus:                                       Jim McKamy looking for location to hold next Poker Night -

                                                            Possibly Ebell Club.  Elks wanted $2000.00 and were booked

                                                            For the Summer.

 

New Business:                               Demotion Night for President Mike to be held at Crowne Plaza

                                                            06/25/03, 6:00PM - Skit being planned.

 

Next Meeting:                                  06/10/03, Joint meeting with ALL New Board and Existing Board

                                                            For a picture - Transition Meeting.
