Board of Directors Meeting

Minutes for Meeting of October 8, 2002


Present: Oates, Mathy, Fraschetti, Jahncke, Kawase, Savage, T. Meyer, Mathewson, Hansen, and Peloquin.

Meeting opened with blessing from President Mike Oates.

Next Meeting: November 12, 2002

September Minutes presented by Jahncke. Minutes approved as read.

Treasurer- Kawase:

          Accounts receivable of $6,405. Several easily identified as ‘not to be billed’, e.g. : Klimple and Christianson deceased; Fryling, Pappe, & Ko resigned; Miller on LOA; Cheng, Park & Rodriguez dismissed.

          $27,600 in bank account.

          New members to be picked up by the club when the application card is submitted. Jahncke to let Kawase know.

          Sigma Pi to receive $200; Boys & Girls Club to receive $150. Approved.

Dick Matthewson - $1,000 approved for the book project; Let Catlin know we approve of the project, and if he wishes to allocate more to this project, please do it.

Tom Meyer - Club has set up some procedures to select the agencies to be supported by the concert. Meeting at Coco’s to finalize the recipients.

President Oates:

          4 new proposed members: Anthony Lagomarsino, Bob Hathaway, Tony Montenagro and Cathy Goch. All approved for membership.

          Elk’s lodge is planning to shut down; We could move our meetings to the Ebel club. Some details need to be worked out.

          Presidents weekend at Laughlin on Jan 24-26 to review for District Assembly.

          Jan 26-Feb 2 is the RI assembly of District Governors - District is looking for home hosting.

          Ronnie Hewett is leaving the community for a position in Thousand Oaks. Mike Oates is to select a new director to fill the Youth position.

Club Service, Membership-Savage: Attendance for August 60.68%.

          5 Names to consider being dropped: Raj Singh, Winnie Houston and John Davis. Two have been dropped already; A letter to be written.

Club Service, Fellowship-Grassi: Mystery dinner at Marrakesh has been canceled due to negative reports on internet. Terri is now looking into a boat outing.

 International Service - Jones: Claud is looking into some projects via some other clubs in the county.

Vocational Service - Chris Frascheti - nothing to report.

License Plate to cost $2, sell for $10; Sell 200, make $1,600 for the club.
