Board of Directors Meeting

Minutes for Meeting of July 9, 2002


Present: Peloquin, Fraschetti, Jahncke, Hewett, Grassi, Meyer, Bartelt, Fulton, Creel, Mathy, Savage, Oates, and Myhre.

Meeting opened with blessing from Bill Peloquin..

President Oates Opened the meeting with some opening comments: .Thanks to the club for giving him the opportunity to lead the very fine Rotary Club of Fullerton. An thanks for the opportunity to go to Barcelona. Brief report on the Barcelona convention. Encourage the Directors to use their individual ingenuity to create new projects, and improve those we have.

Club Service, Fellowship - Terri Grassi: July 20, San Juan Capistrano; 30 people signed up; 4 tickets still available; Train service to be investigated.

Family picnic to be at Clark Park; have the picnic on 23rd of August. Go from 2:30 to 7:30pm Texas Barbecue has been dismissed. Probably use 1 of 3 current bids: $22-$25 per person, food and drink. Alcohol is required for the ball game.

Would like to encourage more social gatherings - i.e. mystery nights, or socials events.

 Club Service, Membership - Bob Savage 59.02% attendance in May. Gains and loses sent to RI. Gain of 21 for the year; net of 5 after we complete the records.

 President Elect - Mike Oates: Honorary membership List for approval presented for the next year: Dalassi, Harvil, Hayes, Hutain, Mills, & Meng. Claud Sympson was suggested and approved also.

 Club Service, Youth - Ronnie Hewett: Both Damon and Franklin are interested in helping; Thompson has been phasing out of activities. Leslie will take care of the Top 100. Chris Hunt has an uncertain future.

 Community Service - Tom Meyer: - Will review the committees, and commit new people.

Don Mlodzik has agreed to be Program Chair. District Awards should be done better this year: i.e., what projects should we submit?, etc. Jana Bogart and John Kunau are good potential candidates to prepare the awards.

Mathy: Board approval for concert sign.
