Treasurer's Report:
- Good financial shape. Transferred $30,000 to Foundation for charitable gifts. $43,000 in bank.
- Have sent invoices for the Devlin meeting: $1,230 to district, $345 to Sunrise, and $450 to South.
- A few A/R problems were reported.
Franklin: Community Service - Youth:
- Track meet was a success, thanks to Mike Oates, and Jim Thompson.
- Top 100 dates are set: April 26 for FUHS; May 2 for SHHS. District office has been very helpfull - sending letters, printing tickets, printing programs. The meals are free for the kids, with their parents and others paying $10 each (up from $8 in past years.)
- 4 names have been sent in for RYLA. 2 of them are Interact. 2 other kids with interest were supported by a Rotary Club from south county. District is looking for women leadeers for RYLA. Contact Ron Eide.
- The Jr. High Concert is scheduled for Monday, June 11 at 7pm. Laura Lynn Eschler at the High School is doing the coordination. The plan is for ALL proceeds to be distributed to the attending high schools music programs.
Oates: Club Service, Membership
- Attendance was low. Suggest that sponsors of new Rotarians be called to contact their new Rotarian to improve attendance. Perhaps a letter. Some of our newest Rotarians are the worst offenders!
Peloquin: President Elect:
- Just had a stimulating weekend at the PETS conference: Friday AM through Sunday AM. Well planned, and busy weekend.
Mathy: Vocational Service
- Vocational awards to be done in 3 weeks, by Mark Zane.
Amato: International Service
- Foreign Exchange Students from the Midwest are due in June 23-24-25 (Sat-Sun-Mon). Oates & Jahncke cannot handle the situation this year.
- Mexico House construction went very well. Strong concerns about the personal safety of our Rotarians - i.e., rusty barbed wire, exposed electric wires, etc. The excellent fellowship of those attending made the event. Strongly recommend that we do it again. AMOR Industries does a great job of pre-setup.
Presidents Report:
- District Assembly June 1st, at the Hyatt Newporter. Tom Meyer to be the chair for the event.
- District Governor's visit is scheduled for November 7th
