CRAFT TALKS
Bob Foust was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana. He and wife Sue have been married for 31 years. They have lived in Fullerton since 1974 and have a 25 year old son who graduated from CSUF, and two beautiful golden retrievers. His hobbies are real estate and geneology. Would you believe he has 55,000 people in his family tree! In high school, he played football, basketball, baseball and tennis. He loves tennis and continues to play. As a senior in college, Bob played football with the great Bob Greise. He graduated from Purdue in 1968 with a degree in metalurgic engineering.
He has been active in our Fullerton community coaching baseball, basketball and soccer.
Bob, it is a pleasure to have you as a member of our Rotary Club!
Shine Kim came to the U.S. from Korea as a heavy drinker of alcohol and makes the claim that Koreans are the biggest consumers of alcohol in the world. He relates that he was one of the heaviest consumers and when he tells his story.
you believe him. Before coming to America, he earned an engineering degree in college, and at that time he despised Christians. Several times in school Christian students tried to convert him and he would not have anything to do with the religion. After his father unexpectedly died, he began asking, "Is there a God? Is there life after death? These questions puzzled him for a long time. After some time, he moved to Los Angeles and got a job and his boss asked him to go the Grace Ministries International Church but instead he went to a different bar each night. Finally, his boss told him if he did not go to church he was going to fire him! So he went and his life took a tremendous turn. He went to the Fuller Theological Seminary, graduated and is now an ordained pastor. He has a lovely wife of one and a half years and a five month old son.
We proudly welcome Reverend Shine Kim to our Rotary club.
President Capelle ended the meeting with a Thanksgiving poem.
