Ron Soderquist, Ray Ashcroft, Bill Peloquin, Howard Wood harmonized with Leroy Fulton on God Bless America and Smile to open this well attended Valentine Edition of the Fullerton Rotary Club.

Ken Kaisch took a moment to define what a moment actually is. Its not the future, its not the past, it is now! (or at least it was!)

Everybody’s favorite Valentine, lovable Dan Kiernan introduced visiting Rotarians and guest that included: Gizi Clemmer from Fullerton Sunrise; and Walter Karpinski (business partner of Claude Jones), Lanny Couvillon (colleague of Jim Lapak), Frank Allen guest of Bob Jahncke), Chris Buell (Scott Dowds), Wells Hughes (Randy McFarland), Nelson Einwaechter of Hope University (Leroy Fulton) and Glen Klevens (Vern Andrews). Many members brought their sweethearts to our special meeting and they included Al and Paulette Triay; Bill and Wilma Peloquin, Randy and Teri McFarland, Ron and Pat Soderquist, and Howard and Doris Wood.

Prez Bob made the first announcement and told the club that Dale Hardner has resigned from Fullerton Rotary and is moving to Florida where he hopes to become involved in Rotary.

Craig Walker announced a fund raising dinner at the Muckenthaler on February 27 contact Pat House for more information.

Rick Crane announced that April 17th is Rotary Day at CSUF Titans Baseball.

Fred Johnson announced the Boys & Girls Club Annual Celebrity Golf Classic, to be held at the Hacienda Golf Club next Saturday, March 5. For further info, call Theresa at 871-1391, ext 1003. This is a special event to help support the 3900 youth at our Boys and Girls Clubs in Fullerton.

Randy McFarland needs all program chair-people to turn in their project description forms for the District awards. Randy also asks anyone who would like to make an announcement to the club to fill out an orange event announcement form.

Minard Duncan reported of the success of the annual Rotary Dental Clinic at Valencia Park School. He thanked Julie Kemp, Joyce Capelle, Bob Radde and Mike Oates for their support.

Wally Bartelt won the right to answer the money question and immediately answered correctly. Q. How many times per year is the minimum number of times that Kentucky State law requires its residents to bathe? Answer: Once per year.

Ron Soderquist, Bill Peloquin, Ray Ashcroft, and Howard Wood strolled through the tables and serenaded each Sweet Heart Couple with love songs in four part harmony to begin our Valentine Day Program.
