Volume 63, Issue 9
Rota-Scribe: Bill Schenk

President Bill rang the meeting to order and Alan Atwell led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the singing of America and Smile led by the thundering herd comprised of Griff Duncan, Ray Ascroft, Jim Blackburn, Howard Wood, Bill Peloquin and Bob Savage, accompanied by our outstanding pianist, Don Ludwig, of course.

Jack Hayes gave a rather profound thought for the day. Jack reminded the club how proud of Mike Oates we should all be. While we pondered Jack's thought and tried to eat our lunch, Mike Oates himself came to the podium and introduced visitors and guests: Old friend (and prior member of our club) Bob Mc Nutt (who had flown in from Big Bear Lake just to have lunch with us), Bill Gillespie and Ron Newell (Fullerton South). Guests included Jane Parker from the Muckenthaller (Pat House).
