Additional Rotarians Present:    Ashcroft, Lee Myhre, McFarland, Mathewson

Secretary's Report: March Minutes were approved.

Oates / McFarland:

Award applications are due, and we are working on them. Probably have a "finish up" gathering at Mathy's.

Claude Jones:

Mattresses are now legally in place in Mexico.

El Sauzal project: sewage project is next on the agenda, if we wish to support it. The orphanage has acquired the necessary land for the sewage system. If we could get matching funds fro RI, the project would be a lot simpler - however, this would require the association and cooperation with a local Mexican Rotary club.

Joyce Capelle: Fellowship Lunches - Round 2 by Mike Nomura.

Probably do Vocational Awards in October - best for School District

Gregg Franklin: Membership Attendance was down to 65% last month.

Missing list was short.

President Mathy:

District Conference to be held June 11-13.

Street Sign project by schools: We still need to get city approval to put up the signs. We would pay for signs and posts. City Manager is reviewing project.

Minard Duncan would like to spend the remaining $650 from the dental project to the Fullerton Collaborative. The Board declined.

Dick Matthewson:

A 10 year old girl from Beechwood School was recognized in the paper for donating $250 from her allowance / savings to the WTLC. Dick would like to recognize Millie Faber at one of our Rotary meetings for her "Service Above Self" and Outstanding "Spirit of Rotary". It was agreed to do so - Jahncke to prepare an award.

Next Meeting:          May 11, 2003 - 7:30am, City Maintenance Facility (same place.)
