Today, we welcomed a patriotic moment from Dan Ouwleen, an invocation from Thad Sandford, and guests Greg Eubanks from Crittenton, Dan & Ruthy from Vanguard University, Joe Baldo from Higher Ground, and Andrew Gregson from the Chamber of Commerce.

Finemaster: Farrell Hirsch “cancelled” these unsuspecting members. Let the TikTok apology videos begin!

All educators in attendance for teaching history.

In the end, Farrell covered all fines and cancellation with $75

Program: Fullerton School District—featuring Board Vice President Bev Berryman, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services Dr. Julienne Lee, Math Coordinator Jason Chong, Jenel Lao (Data Strategy & Program Development), and Phil Ling (Innovation & Instructional Support).

Here are some highlights from our time together with the Fullerton School District:

Incredible specialized programming is offered through FSD Educational Services, Child Development Services, Student Support Services, Curriculum and Instructional Services, and much more.

Pathfinder: A program for all K-8 students that focuses on these questions: “What is your passion? Who are you? What are you about?”

FSD believes in these mantras and practices: “Learn it. Experience it. Do something about it. Show it off. Impact your community. Change the world.”

FSD Steam Vision has 3 focus areas: Robotics, App & Design Challenge, and STEM Discovery.

Speech and Debate: There are 3 kinds of programs, including interpretation (poetry, storytelling), public speaking (making a famous speech their own), and debate & limited prep (speaking on current events). These programs build socio-emotional competencies and workplace skills such as empathy, teamwork, communication, growth mindset, critical thinking, creativity, persistence, and more.

President Ken’s closing mantra—“Go out and be good people and great Rotarians!”
