We meet at the Elks Club on June 1

The meeting started off with the pledge given by Chuck Munson, followed by the prayer given by Jon West. Our song master was Pastor Greg Hickman, who led us in “Row, row, row, your boat”. A tribute to our outgoing Captain Dick on his last voyage as Captain!

Chief Wolf Knabe introduced our guests, Gloria Kremer, wife of Jay Kremer, and a visiting Rotarian, Dayna Gustke from Tempe Downtown Rotary and her guest, Ralph Diaz Captain Dick gave our visiting Rotarian one of our banners.

Also, Duane Greenleaf was honored for his company’s efforts in providing us with our meals while at the Meridian Club. Two of the servers were also honored with gift cards.

Announcements included:

• Incoming Board member meeting at the Elks Lodge on 6/10
Pat McKinley will be having two cardiac stints put in this Friday, our prayers and thoughts are with him
Jim Blake will be out of the hospital tomorrow, we wish him well
• Demotion night is on 6/29 at 6:00 pm at the Elks Lodge. Please RSVP to Jim Williams
• Rotary Care Day is June 4th so sign up

The Recognition Master was Andre Fahie. He looked great in his bow tie and must have been in a good mood because he never fined more than one dollar!

Carl Camp was fined for his birthday on 5/25
Kathy Gach was fined for her anniversary on 5/27
Bob Maxwell was fined for his birthday on 5/31
Frankie Berry self-fined for her additional great grandson’s. Hard to believe she is a great grandmother

Our program featured Wei Ling Louie, from the Assistance League of Fullerton. The Fullerton chapter is 75 years old and their motto is “We’re about caring”.

The Assistance League does many good things for our community including:
