Terri Introduces New Rotarians Rob Jahncke and Deidre Kinsey,
While Sponsors Jahncke and Hansen Look on.


Prez Terri called the meeting to order promptly at 12:30 and called upon Lee Brockett to lead the pledge of allegiance.  Howard Wood led the club in singing “Amazing Grace” followed by “Smile” with Don Ludwig’s accompaniment on Piano. Shine Kim delivered the invocation after he complimented Howard’s choice of song today (It was the first time in two years Howard had chosen a song the Shine knew!).

Carl Camp introduced Visiting Rotarians and Rotarians with guests which included Ted Russell from Placentia Rotary; Beth Jahncke (mother of new Rotarian Rob and better half of old Rotarian Robert) and Nancy Jahncke (newest Rotarian Spouse). Dick Hutton was a guest of Lonny Blake. Lonny passed his coin to Jana Bogart as a challenge to share Rotary.

Induction:

Prez Terri called upon Bill Mathy to share with new inductees his profound feelings of what makes a good Rotarian.  Rob Jahncke and Dedre Kinsey were inducted with their sponsors Bob Jahncke and Ray Hansen attending.

Announcements:

 Randy McFarland encouraged (sic pleaded) for those event and project chairman to turn in District Award reports.  If you are unsure if you should write a report about an activity or event call Randy and he’ll let you know.

Greg Hickman is hosting a family Easter Egg event that includes door prizes and hot dogs on April 7 at 10:am at Ford Park.

Cathy Gach reminded the club that this is the last weekend to catch the Spring Musical “Little Women” at FUHS.

Rick Crane recognized all club members who volunteered to help at the recent Track meet.  He will introduce the winners at next week’s meeting.

Jim McKamy announced the wine tasting event at Bob Clark’s house on Saturday April 21st.

Bob Jahncke reminded the club of the April 9 Boys and Girls Club Golf event. Looking for sponsors and golfers for the Hacienda Golf Club event.

Prez Terri awarded Track Meet T-shirts to Joe Lins and Tom Meyer to recognize them their companies contribution to the Track Meet.

Prez Terri passed out 4 more coins for the Share Rotary Pass it on campaign - Rotarians Bill Schenck, Joe Lins, Minard Duncan and xxx for their service as Rotoscribes.

Shecky Kvetney was the guest Finemaster today and he recognized Howard Wood for his 84th birthday.  Bill Peloquin was also recognized for his paid advertisement announcing his one-day a week non-retirement.  Bob Hathaway was recognized for his upcoming nuptials.

(In honor of April Fools day Walt Barnes is hereby recognized for his April 1 birthday!)

Tony Amato came close to the $160 prize but drew the King of Hearts instead of the Joker from Prez Terri’s deck.  The suspense mounts as the deck gets thinner.

Fullerton Heritage's Tom Dalton

Rick Crane introduced Fullerton Heritage president Tom Dalton. Dalton presented a slide show of 16 historical architectural examples in the city of Fullerton, including old residences as well as large commercial buildings, 6 of which his organization has been able to clasify as "Historical Buildings".
