Program

Craft Talks-we were very fortunate to have two very interesting craft talks. Fire Chief Wolfgang Knabe. began his talk by introducing his wife Heather. Chief Knabe was born in Germany and came to America at the age of 5 yrs old. He spent 3 yrs. in foster homes. At the age of 14, he tried to join the Marine Corp; they told him come back when he was 17. Joined LA P.D. Reserve, and has 22 yrs. with LA Fire Dept. He has been with Fullerton as a Fire Chief for over 1 year. Chief Knabe has 5 children that he is very proud of. He loves working in Fullerton, and we love having him as our fire chief and as a fellow Rotarian.

Pastor Greg Hickman comes to us from Eugene Oregon; he began by introducing his wife Roxanne. He has been a Rotarian for 16yrs. for which he has also been a past president. Greg told us what the characteristics of a perfect pastor would be. He has 2 children, and enjoys helping others, which he does 60 hours a week. He asked us to think about becoming a pastor for a moment and read 101 ways to encourage people. Needless to say, this was a very inspirational exercise. Fullerton is very fortunate to have Pastor Greg Hickman as part of our community.
