Rotagram - Meeting Notes and Club News Wednesday, October 26, 2005

President Joyce Cappelle asked Bob Savage to lead us in the Flag Salute. Howard Wood, Cathy Gach, Randy McFarland and Bob Savage guided us in singing “Roll Out the Barrel” and “Smile” with accompaniment by our prominent pianist, Don Ludwig. Joyce presented us with a comforting prayer.

Dan Kiernan did the intros for Pastor Gregory Hickman, guest of J Richey and past member of the Aloha Sunset Rotary Club who wants to join with us now that he lives in Fullerton; Paul McReynolds, member of the Half Moon Bay Rotary Club, CA; Dr. Pat Frank, Superintendent of the North County Regional Occupational Program and guest of Bob Hathaway.

Ken Kaisch entered the Joke Challenge with Prez Joyce. Each told outstanding jokes that vied for truly top honors and our honorable prez won again.

Hannibal Cannibal arives at Rotary

Jim Williams introduced Hannibal Cannibal (Mike Oates) who was escorted in by guards Chief Pat McKinley and Captain Geoff Spalding. Hannibal, complete with mask and strapped to a two-wheel dolly, meted out the following fines: Dan Kiernan for having a smart mouth. Birthdays were Rick Crane, John Derry, Bob Jahncke, Robert Foust’s wife - Sue, Don Ludwig’s spouse - JoAnn. Anniversaries were Royce and Joni Hutain, and Diane Masseth-Jones and husband Timothy. Congratulations to all! And, Mike, I’m glad you found your niche. You are a natural Hannibal. Great job!
