"No,Wally. It wasn't the Coast Guard's birthday". PREZ SAVAGE ordered him to say "Semper Fi" 20 times before dessert.

THE PROGRAM giving us a fine POWER POINT SHOW of the Lighthouses around the USA by CARL MORRISON, Author and Photographer of Historic sites. There are 850 lighthouses in the United States. The majority of them are located in the Great Lakes region, especially in Michigan. Lighthouse tours and tourist accommodations are available in some of the most scenic spots in the United States. The Coast Guard operates the active lighthouses and the National Park Service handles the tourist activity. Many of the lighthouses are painted with a distinctive color which characterizes their indentity with the area. One may locate them on the Internet. Your Rotascribe recalled with fondness passing Race Rock lighthouse on Long Island just at the entrance of the Thames River on many submarine sorties going and coming to the Submarine Base New London.

CARL MORRISON made fine presentation. Many thanks to RAY HANSEN for inviting him.
