Pres Bill Mathy opened the meeting by asking Bill Hite to lead us in the Flag Salute. The Grifftone Six sang “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” and “Smile.” Joyce Cappelle spoke about “gratitude” for our Thought for the Day and led us in prayer. Jim McKamy asked people at each table to introduce guests and visiting Rotarians: Leslie McCarthy -Alan Rabe from Hope U., Terri Grassi -Laure Close from Hope U., David Kang -Michael Lau, Don bankhead - Joe Lins, Tom Meyer - Bob Foust, and someone introduced Hope U. Office Mgr. Sara Escort. Before our delicious lunch, Pres. Bill told of three naked men in a sauna. A beeper sounded and one of them pressed his forearm and the sound stopped. He explained that he had a pager under his skin. Then a phone rang and another man held his hand to his ear and explained that he had a microchip embedded in his hand. The third man did not want to appear technology deficient so he stepped out of the sauna and went to the restroom. When he returned he had toilet paper hanging out from between his buttocks and said. “Look at that. I have a fax coming in!” Bill, you finally got a good one off. Congratulations!
