Recognitions

Finemaster Blackburn was only able to successfully recognize two members for annual events this week.   Terri Grassi for an unspecified amount of birthdays and Win Miller for the reminder of his wife's birthday.

Dr Ben Hubbard

The program today was scheduled to be an enlightened discussion about the troubles in the Middle East.  It was impossible for the events of September 11 not to dominate this discussion.   Jim Blackburn introduced Professor Ben Hubbard of Cal State Fullerton who gave an historic and geopolitical prospective of Israel, while Dr. Blackburn managed the same prospective from the Palestinian point of view.  Islamic and Muslim prospective was also offered.

The emotional stress from recent events was palpable in the meeting.  Several club members expressed their own views and opinions on these events and situations.
