August Minutes were not available due to technical difficulties.
Jahncke reported on the new "Rotagram e-mail policy" - to charge $5 per quarter for each US Mailed copy of the Rotagram. Members be allowed to "opt" out of the $5 charge by not receiving US Mail version; members are encouraged to receive the Rotagram via e-mail. Meyer & Capelle opted out of US Mail on the spot.
Newly resigned members: Dennis O'Conner, Chris Lowe, Cline Duff. Derek Niblo passed away.
Treasurer's Report:
Frank passed around a preliminary budget for the year. Please pass back any corrections or changes. He is looking for more detail. Frank will send a revised copy for further review.
Mike Oates pointed out that we need to get new materials for Top 100. We had purchased 2 years worth of frames and certificates 2 years ago.
President Mathy:
Terri Grassi and Vern Andrews are approved for Directors of the Fullerton Rotary Foundation.
Bill is to select a substitute for him on November 12.
Jack Hayes has prepared a Bookmark to be made available at the Fullerton Public Library for $200.
Bill checking on placing signs near schools to note the presence of children, with the Rotary Wheel on the sign and - $42 / per sign. Rough estimate of $700 for each Fullerton club. Need to clear city and school authorities.
Concert Notes: Plan to charge $50 for floor tickets, $30 for balcony seats. Rich Little to perform on January 31, 2004. This is a fund raiser. He will perform for 90 minutes possibly longer if the crowds are positive. Approved by consensus.
Next Meeting: October 14, 2003 - 7:30am, City Maintenance Facility (same place.)
