Griff Duncan had the winning number, but Prez Joyce had no deck of cards. Program

Bob Radde introduced members of the Sunny Hills and Fullerton High School Interact Clubs who talked about their experiences at the RYLA conference and outlined future events and fundraiser at their respective campuses.

Grant Engle (Past District Governor) made an interesting and informative presentation about the Rotary Shelter Box USA program.  These boxes contain survival gear for 10 people and include tents, sleeping bags, lights, tools, cooking pots, blankets, dishes, and more.  The cost of each box is $1000 (US) and that includes transportation to anywhere on the planet that it is needed.  The sponsor’s name and address is included (written in the language of the final destination) so the recipient will know who made the donation that helps them so much in their time of dire emergency.  If you have purchased a shelterbox you may monitor its whereabouts by tracking it on www.shelterbox.usa.org .   This is a pretty cool program that originated in a Rotary Club in Cornwall, England.  Grant is very proud of his association with the Shelter Box USA program, and we are of course very proud of Grant!

Prez Joyce concluded the meeting at 1:25 just so she can boast of officiating a meeting with many guests and two programs and still not run over the allotted time limit.

GREAT JOB JOYCE!
