President Ken Kaisch Opened the meeting with a reminder of the importance of our internal narrative. Rotarians have a positive outlook on life because our motto of service above self!

Brett Ackerman led the pledge of allegiance. Sueling Chen led a prayer of unity in this time of forced separation Guests today: Jordan, Zoot’s guest is looking to join our rotary club. Jordan is working with St. Jude hospital.

Zoot Velasco volunteered his face for pie throwing anyone pay $500 or more can throw a pie on zoot’s face. Wet cow pie is ok according to John Phelps if the donation is $1000 or more.

Ken Kaisch offered free consultation to Zoot to help him get through the potential mental stress. But Zoot is betting no one will go out of their way to find it and carry it to the event. Discussions of types of pies continued.

30th Annual track meet is 3/27/2021 Saturday Rick Crane need someone to take photos at the metal table please call Rick if you are ok to help.

Miko Krisvoy, is working with Sunny Hills and Fullerton High School on the upcoming top 100. Time will be announced.

Dan announced la Habra performing school start to film the talent acts if anyone is interested please email Dan Ouweleen. Date is tentative but as early as next week.

Fine master today is President Ken Kaisch. The following people were all recognized for $3

Dan Ouweleen and Susan Ouweleen. Jim Ripley, Rick Crane, Christian Esteban, Mike Cochran, Zoot Velasco, Bailey Kline. Bill Mathy was fined $20 for making President Ken Kaisch fine master with little to no notice. John Phelps offered to pay Bill’s fine .Jeff Hutchison offered to use John’s card to pay for his fine. Was charged $5 for his generosity. President Ken Kaisch Recognized some of our newest members Beverly Berryman, Matt Howells, Bailey Kline, Faisal Qazi, Ken Kaisch fined himself $.02 fine for giving his 2 cents.

Our guest speaker today is Dr. Bruce S. Mutter M.D. President Ken Kaisch introduced Dr. Bruce Mutter. Dr. Mutter is the Director of Morningside of Fullerton. Morningside currently have 415 people living in their own homes in the community. Dr. Mutter told his facility’s story of surviving and protecting their residents during the covid 19 pandemic. In 2020 Nursing facilities were epicenters of the covid infection and in the beginning there were Not enough face shields. His grandson started printing 3d face masks. Families could not visit and residents could not visit anyone starting march 2020. Morningside separated their facility into 3 zones to help separate anyone infected or recovering. The surge went from bad to worse from the spring to fall and into the winter surges. Dec 30th 2020 vaccines came in and Morningside immunized all residents and staff. To get your vaccine or questions ask your health provider first. For younger people we should have enough vaccine maybe by this summer for everyone.
