President Ken Kaisch started the meeting with a thankful message to our club and our guest speaker today Our District Governor Ms. Gianna Richards.

Pledge today was led by Brett Ackerman

Cathy Gach offered a heartwarming prayer to our community, our students/ faculty and our club members.

Our guests today are Cathy’s Husband Donald and Our District Governor Ms. Gianna Richards.

Club news:

· Next week, Theresa Harvey has put together a Virtual Wine Tasting event for us and the two other Fullerton Clubs. It will be held over Zoom next Tuesday, Dec 8, at 7 pm. Registration in advance is required at http://www.vinonostra.com/online-store/Virtual-Rotary-Tasting-Tuesdays-Wine-World-Tour-p198409875 You can pick up your wine tasting kit on the day of the event from 3-6 pm at Vino Nostra

· Club elections in 2 weeks, Dec 16. If you would like to run for the Board or for President, please contact Zoot Velasco

· This month is Foundation month for Rotary worldwide. You received an email about this with forms that you can use to give from your estate. Please consider giving to both our local foundation and the RI foundation in your year-end giving.

· Rotary Youth Protection program. You received a link to do this online. It takes 15- 45 minutes, and if you are going to be involved in the Track Meet or Fullerton’s Schools Got Talent, you need to complete this program.

· Monica Fernandez is coordinating our Diaper Dump – gathering diapers

for financially strapped parents who can no longer afford them. She is collecting diapers from now until Dec.15. Please help her out and give her a call.

· Club members that deserve special recognition for Service Above Self:

Theresa Harvey, for organizing our virtual wine tasting next week. One of the most special things about this is it includes the other 2 Fullerton clubs, and Monica Fernandez for coordinating our Diaper Dump. And special thanks go to Jim Vandenberg for kicking it off with a donation of $86 to celebrate his birthday!

Our Finemaster today was Howard Minkley. Howard worn an official self-made finemaster hat and set forth a new bar on the Fine master fashion!

Howard fined DonaldTormey and his wife Carolyn for their 28th wedding anniversary

Mike Cochran was fined for his birthday on 12/6. Bob Jahncke was fined for his wife Beth’s birthday. Cathy Gach self fined for her new baby grandson! Congratulations Cathy! President Ken Kaisch also self fined for getting to spend thanksgiving with his son.

In the spirit of giving, Our District Governor Gianna gave $5 for Howard’s remarkable Fine master hat! J

Dan Ouweleen introduced our guest speaker today. Our District Governor Gianna Richards. Gianna joined the Anaheim Hills Rotary Club in 2009. She has held several positions since joining the club, including President for the 2012-2013 Rotary year. Gianna has also served the District in a variety of positions such as Executive Officer, Assistant Governor. District Conference Chair, District Secretary and a member of the District’s Charitable Foundation. Gianna is a Paul Harris Fellow, Society Member and Bequest Society Member. Her husband Reece is also a Paul Harris Fellow. Gianna and her sister Tressa are second generation Rotarians.

Gianna gave an insightful presentation on the accomplishments and direction of our district as well as Rotary as a whole. She also reminded us that the international convention next year will be in June 2021 in Taiwan. More information will be available by January.

President Ken Kaisch presented our Speaker’s with a special artwork of the letters: “Fullerton” Created letter of the word was created with photos of objects or buildings found in architecture around the city of Fullerton! President Ken Kaisch on behalf of our club, also promised to contribute $500 in Gianna’s Honor to Rotary International!

President Ken Kaisch closed the meeting today with quotes from Abraham Lincoln:
