Meymuna’s Story-

Born Ethiopia/Kenya/Somalia area. In 1970s, a violent coup took place and families fled the area.

Her parents emigrated to the US through San Diego.

Grew up in Orange County. OCC to UCI to Antioch for education.

Prior to 2010, it wasn’t a bipartisan issue to work with refugees, but there is still a lot of support on the ground for our cause which she is very passionate about.
