President Bill started the meeting with a plea to go online to www.shelterbox.org and make a donation that each Member is comfortable with to help the victims of the Nepal earthquakes.
Today’s assemblage officially commenced with an invocation by Carl Camp, up and down on the seating (impeachment narrowly averted),
followed by the flag salute led by Kathy Gach.
President Bill, not trusting Warren to be expeditious enough, recognized Andy Erseck (Orange North) and PDG Herb Trumpolt (Yorba Linda Sunrise), as visiting Rotarians to our annual charitable awards meeting. Carol Futterer introduced Liz Ann Allen; Sean Chaffins introduced his dad, Anthony Chaffins (longtime Lion), Vimal Seth introduced, friend, Rekha, Vinold and Promilla. Zoot had a guest, Chiropractor Nathan Gershfeld
As members of The Rotary Club of Fullerton each of us is a part of something larger and important. We are part of the most effective international network of understanding, mutual respect and understanding on this planet. The lifeblood of that international outreach is the Paul Harris Foundation. Today, fourteen of our Members were recognized for stepping up to the plate, to the total extent of $22,000 contributed to the Paul Harris Foundation. Gratitude, together with suitable pins and certificates are awarded to:

Opportunity Drawing is $ are Growing
Blake Smith was the winning loser, not correctly answering the trivia question. He missed Marshall B. Ketchum (formerly Southern California College of Optometry) and Argosy University.
The Rotary Club of Fullerton has three avenues to generate charitable funds for the benefit of our community. First, funds raised from our annual fundraiser, better known as the Collage Concert, which this year raised $25,000. Second, The Fullerton Rotary Foundation, our partner local fundraising arm that asks for contributions and pledges once a year, in July at the beginning of the Rotary year and also receives deductible contributions from Members throughout the year and from estates. Third, because we are in touch with the North Orange County community and have a solid established vetting process, the Orange County Charitable Foundation, a county wide charitable foundation benefiting Orange County eleemosynary organizations partners with The Rotary Club of Fullerton and allows us to assist it in selection of the annual distribution of its largesse. The OCCF was represented at the meeting by Julie Schuller.
