Meeting was called to order by Scott Dowds at 12:30.

Thoughtful Invocation presented by Ken Kaisch.

Flag salute was led Carl Camp.

Song Master – Kim Barlow –l ed the group in the US Air Force Song, followed by SMILE! Scott Dowds indicated that our group was in “Great Voice”.

Announcements

Scott Dowds announced that his 15 year pen went missing after the last meeting. If you know where it went, let him know. Does this mean there is a reward pending?

Concert – March 24 – great food from Brian’s BBQ. Bring your appetite and come out for great food, fellowship. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. at CSUF followed by concert at 8 p.m.

Titan baseball – Tuesday, April 17, Pepperdine, 6 p.m. Contact Rick Crane for tickets.

Spring Fellowship Lunch sign-ups. Contact Sandy Hayes if interested in participating. Notices will be sent out next week.

This weekend and next –musical comedy Anything Goes – FJUHS. Contact Cathy Gach for tickets.

WTLC – Save the Date July 14 – Fullerton Museum Plaza, Mardi Gras in July. Contact Kim Barlow for more information or tickets.

Recognition:

Joe Arnold was nearly defrocked as he was welcomed as our newest member to lose his “Newest Nine” Status.

Joyce Capelle – graciously accepted the role of “Princess” and Fine Master.

Joyce Capelle – fined herself for black pants and navy shirt. $5 public humiliation.

Jim Williams – fined in abstention for giving Joyce directions for today - $2 for naivety.

Trademark infringement charges were brought up against Leslie McCarthy as she “borrowed” Joyce’s “Princess trademark” last week. Was it misrepresentation, or what? McCarthy countered indicating the word “Princess” precedes trademark law.

Joe Arnold – fined for premature defrocking $2.

Negligent listening fee to Bob Hillhouse - $2.

Warren Wimer – recognized for having two offspring (his grandchildren) playing in major sports competitions – U A Basketball team; One playing for Matre Dei. $1.

Miko Krisvoy – honored for contributing to a book on hand rolled Sushi – fine waived for bringing honor to the club.

Nate Kvetny – fined for making Joyce rub his belly – his excellence is a chef – participated in the FEIS event who prepared his roasted breast of duck. Very successful event. No fine, because he donated his services to the community, however, gave a stirring speech at an Ed Royce open mic event where he supported the Congressman’s position on Israel. Fined $5.

Leslie McCarthy – event last Saturday at her home, fined $ 2 for the Irish Celebration. Also, celebrating her 27th wedding anniversary and was appropriately fined $2 for her anniversary.

Chris Meyer – March 23 – joyous occasion – Miss Jannie’s birthday - $2 reminder fee.

Drawing the Winning Ticket – held by Bill Hite – failed to know the news story regarding the dentist who used paper clips in his dental fillings and restoration.

Dr. Anil Puri, CSUF, Dean of Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, spoke about the college, the changes in the University over the years, and its impact on our community. Focus primarily was on the Mihalo College of Business which is now the largest business college in California, the challenges of the University, its application of technology and how it is working to educate tomorrow’s leaders.

Concluded with the thought that hopefully the economy is getting better – slowly and steadily. Patience is important.

Thought for the day – Scott Dowds – No guests to thank for today – thought by Bill Mathy – Secret of managing is to keep the guys who hate you away from the people who are undecided. Casey Stengel.
