Help Wanted: The Rotary Club of Fullerton is in need of a few Rotarians to volunteer to take notes and prepare the Rotagram.  Training is available and no experience is necessary.  Contact Bill Schenk for more information at bill.fhc@sbcglobal.net.


Mark Geiss provided the invocation as wells as this thought for the day:  “This life is like a grindstone.  Whether it grinds you down or polishes you up depends on what you are made of.”

Marty Burbank led the club in the pledge of allegiance and Leroy Fulton led the singing with Don Ludwig at the piano.

Joyce Capelle introduced visiting Rotarian Debra Marks from Yorba Linda Sunrise.

Rotarians with guests included :Prez  J (wife Rose Marie and friend Melanie Switcher); Rick Crane (Al Zelinka and Alan Chambers); George Giokaris (Judy Fancher); Don Landers (wife Judy).

Bob Hathaway introduced our program today and Fullerton Union High School teacher Scott Hedgecock explained all about the Rotary District 5320 Young Singers Contest as he introduced this year’s finalist.  These young singers competed in boys and girls Classical or Musical Theater Categories and included: Laura Benet (FUHS), Anna Marie Mayer (Sunny Hills HS), Zachery Hillman (FUHS), Jennesea Bauserman (FUHS), Lauren Corona (SHHS), Zachery Zarit (FUHS), Carissa Marvin (SHHS), and Angela Griswold (FUHS.

The Club was treated to a free concert as the individuals will perform again at the semi-final on April 19 at Orange Coast College.

Prez J thanked the students, guests, and visiting Rotarians and ended the meeting with this thought: “Today is the oldest you’ve ever been, and the youngest you’ll ever be for the rest of your life”.
