Leroy Fulton led the club in songs, which included “Take me out to the ball game” and Smile, accompanied by Don Ludwig on piano. Bob Hillhouse introduced visitors and guest that included visiting Rotarians Kathy McKnight from Announcements: Warren Wimer once again reminded the club of his Yachting Fellowship event on Sunday April, 26 from 3 to 6 PM at the Lido Island Clubhouse. Recognition Zoot Velasco performed as Finemaster today and Recognized Keith Mills and Bob Radde for not filing their taxes as of noon on April 15th. Marty Burbank was recognized for his service to the country as a Navy Seal (his table ponied up for his fine). Mayor Don Bankhead was fined for presenting Bill McGarvey Jr. with a certificate of Appreciation from the city of Fred Johnson avoided a $5 fine for his lightning fast answer to Zoot’s musical question. “Who sang the original version of You ain’t nothing but a hound dog....... (Big Momma Jay Kremer was recognized for his birthday Rick Crane was recognize for his wife Jeanne’s birthday Lee Myhre was recognized for his wife Jackie’s birthday And Bill Hite was recognized for his and Vickie’s 28th anniversary. Rick Crane introduced the track Coaches from Sunny Hills, Randy McFarland and Bill Mathy Emceed the annual Joke day festivities that include Sound Effects, participation prizes (good humor bars), and might have included fancy table decorations by Sandy Hayes (had she been asked) Bill set the bar with a “Preparation H” joke and the competitors rose to the challenge. Bob Hillhouse, Andy Anderson, and Keith Mills acted as the Judges and Kimberly Nguyen was the scorekeeper. Bob Radde, Jay Kremer, Ken Kaisch, Ray Hanson, Wally Swatkowski, Minard Duncan, Diane Masseth Jones, Zoot Velasco, Drew Napolin, Richard Jones, Debra Koff, Jim Williams, Mike Oates, and Shecky Kvetney participated with the alleged jokes. The third place Mike Oates award went to Dianne Masseth Jones The second place Nate Kvetney award went to Jim Williams The first place Jack Hayes award went to Zoot Velasco.
