Prez Joyce gave the bell a mighty clang and asked the great Trojan-American  Bob Radde to give the pledge. Songmaster Howard Wood led the club in “By the Light of the Silvery Moon." Howard was sure surprised when the club sang in perfect 98 part harmony in honor of the visiting members of the Orange Empire Chorus.

Pastor Greg Hickman gave the invocation today.

Bob Hathaway introduced Rotarians with guests that included Pete Magoski who introduced Eva Cornfond from Vancouver, Canada.  Craft-talk members Michael La and Geoff Spalding introduced their wives Diane Spalding and Kristi La.

Jim Williams introduced this weeks Finemaster in the form of Dr. Jackal (Dr. Dick Jones) with the music of “The First Cut is the Deepest”.  Dick reminded the crowd that he was the only sharp wit allowed during recognitions and wielded a macabre looking reflex hammer and scalpel as a warning.

Recognitions included Walt Barnes and Howard Wood on their April 1st Birthdays.  Chuck Munson. Chet Shultz and Theresa Harvey also were recognized for Birthdays.

Rick Crane, J Kremer, and Scott Dowds were recognized for civic committee appointments.

Pat McKinley, Wolf Knabbe, George Giokaras, Don Bankhead and Dick Jones were recognized for their generous support of the Soroptimist Fashion show.

Dr. Jackal also recognized various members who showed up in photographs taken by Ray Ashcroft at the Annual Track meet last week-end.

Members of the Orange Empire Chorus (featuring Ray Ashcroft as Tenor) entertained as they mugged their way through several songs that included Hello Mary Lou, Mild Wild Irish Rose and Let me Call You Sweetheart.

The Club gave a very warm reception to Geoff Spalding and Michael La as they gave their craft talks today.  If craft talk givers only knew how much these talks are enjoyed by the audience it might sooth their nervousness before hand.

Capt. Geoff Spalding, FPD told that he was born and educated in Fullerton and did an amusing power-point introduction to his life, family and career.

Michael La Told of his childhood in Korea and his life journey to the United States and meeting of his wife Kristi.  Michael is a Century 21 agent and is a very active member of Grace International Chruch.

Great Job Geoff and Michael!

Prez Joyce closed the meeting with this thought provided by Randy McFarland: The road to success is lined with many convenient parking places.
