"AN AMERICAN
IN LOVE WITH HIS COUNTRY"
James Bruce Joseph Sievers, former Green Beret poel and patriot gave us a
motivational program which was positive and refreshing about America. He
has been highly acclaimed and honored by all sorts of audiences including
Presidents to elementary school children. More under "PROGRAM"
The membership accalimed PREZ JOYCE's idea of having the meal served
BEFORE the start of the meeting. More time to visit with old and new
members during the meal. Endorsed by the Power Table regulars.
TONY AMATO led in the Pledge, preceeding the traditional "BEAT
ARMY"
by the Club's graduate of the Navy Boat School.
HOWARD WOOD, lead the brethren in song, but because there were a few
members whose birth preceeded that of Judy Garland, he was obliged
to hand out the words to "The Bells Are
Ringing" from one of her 1950 movies.
A silent all-club prayer of thanksgiving for the meal was given in the absence
of a cleric or lay minister. PREZ JOYCE made it retroactive, as most of the
brethren, particularly those at the Power Table, were half through eating.
