Yes, spelled with double T! His prayer encouraged us to practice Fidelity, Integrity, Trust and Truth.

Bob Clark, Sr. donated $10 to the person who did not know that Tiger Woods was eight years old when he made his first hole in one, and Tiger has now earned a total of $32 million. Sorry. I forgot who won the raffle.

Program: Our annual District Speech Contest on Lending A Hand was excellent. Christin Gonzales, Fullerton High, spoke on the shortage of nurses and suggested ways to mitigate the problem. Sayli Bhate, Fullerton High, talked about bringing down the walls of ignorance and the misunderstanding of various cultures in regard to immigrants. Eugenia Rho, Sunny Hills High, stated that the disparity between rich and poor continues to increase. The poor, illiterate and mentally and physically challenged are often outcasts. We need to learn how to help them. Gina Kim, Sunny Hills High, discussed how our self-society has cast aside the idea of lending a hand. Some think helping is outdated, unrealistic and impossible but we all need food, drink, caring and love.

Speech coaches were Cindy Osborne-Sunny Hills High and Sal Tinajero- Fullerton High. Judges were Frankie Berry, Ken Kaish and Warren Wimer. Timer was Jim McKamy.

Christin took top honors and Gina was runner-up. All contestants did a great job.

Pres Bill closed with "Never try to teach a pig how to sing. It annoys the pig and wastes your time."
